Femme Filmmakers Festival: What Happened, Miss Simone?

DAY SIX Sunday 11th September 2016 (all-day event)

The title What Happened, Miss Simone? was a question asked by Maya Angelou, and documentary film-maker Liz Garbus strives to perhaps answer this, but also shine some light on the illustrious singer and cultural icon. The well-received feature-length account opens many doors, with archive footage, interviews with those that knew and admired Nina Simone, but also you get to savor performances by the artist.

Agenda
Distributed by Netflix means this is hardly available anywhere else. Which is great, mean you are going to have to watch the documentary for free. I know on Sunday you might be tired from the week gone by, but I still implore you all to get involved, watch the movie at your own leisure, and send us your thoughts.
