Femme Filmmakers Festival: Day Eight Change of Plan

DAY EIGHT Wednesday 14th September 2016 (all-day event)

NOTE: Due to streaming ending in the UK of the scheduled film It Felt Like Love directed by Eliza Hittman, then the Femme Filmmakers Festival viewing will have to be substituted – unless of course you can find a legitimate stream yourselves. The film is still available on Netflix US (free) and Amazon US ($4.99) – to name two sources.

Being the nice chap that I am, I have plucked 10 recommended films directed by women from the UK Netflix as very worthy alternatives (these films are also available outside of the UK on various streaming platforms). Click for links below to take you to the Netflix page.

Plenty of choices there: lavish costume drama with a strong social race theme; gripping and raw depiction of Brazilian street life; multi-layered story about the downfalls of motherhood. Something for everyone there I suspect. In fact, you don’t have to wait until tomorrow. Go on, watch one now.
