Three Billboards Heads London Critics’ Circle Film Awards Nominations

Top film critics from the UK announced their nominations for the 38th annual London Critics’ Circle Film Awards. The awards will be presented on 28th January 2018 at a gala ceremony at The May Fair Hotel, London.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri leads the pack with 7 nominations, including the trio of acting talent that were selected by the Screen Actors Guild. Not far behind with 6 are Lady Macbeth and Phantom Thread, though both missed out on Best Director slot for William Oldroyd and  Paul Thomas Anderson respectively. Lady Macbeth didn’t even show up in the Film of the Year category.

Awards circuiters Call Me By Your Name and  Dunkirk, and well-received British flicks God’s Own Country and Paddington 2 tie with 5 nominations. Oscar frontrunners Get Out, Lady Bird, and The Shape of Water trail on 3 apiece. Also refreshing to see films like 78/52, Beach Rats, Daphne, The Handmaiden, and I Am Not a Witch making the scorecard.

I make sure it's known the company's in business. I'd see that it had a certain panache. That's what I'm good at. Not the work, not the work... the presentation.
