Roma and The Favourite dominate the 2019 BAFTA Awards

So the spoils on the British Isles were spread between The Favourite and Roma. Although Yorgos Lanthimos’ period romp near-swept, including both Actress awards, Alfonso Cuaron’s masterpiece managed to honor the Mexican filmmaker in four category wins – including Best Director and Best Film. Roma now looks even more poised for success at the Academy Awards in two weeks.

The EE British Academy Film awards also provided some notable wins for the likes of Letitia Wright, Spike Lee, the acclaimed British film Beast, and the documentary Free Solo. Here are BAFTA winners in full:
