The Cinema Audio Society has unveiled their nominations for the 62nd Annual CAS Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing in 2024. The nominees for Motion Picture – Live Action are F1, Frankenstein, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, One Battle After Another and Sinners. All five appear on the Academy’s shortlist for Best Sound.
Re-recording mixer Skip Lievsay will be honoured with the CAS Career Achievement Award. Guillermo del Toro will receive the Cinema Audio Society’s Filmmaker Award.
“2025 showcased an extraordinary range, ambition, and artistry across the sound community,” said CAS President Peter Kurland. “From intimate character-driven stories to large-scale spectacles, this year’s nominees demonstrate the impact of outstanding sound mixing across film and television. Their work continues to push the craft forward, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements.”
The winners will be announced at a live ceremony on March 7. Full list of nominations below.
