I know many of you watched Florence Pugh in last year’s Midsommar and yearned for that silk flower laden May Queen dress. Or the more sinister of you wanted the dead bear skin attire. Or even that giant wooden mallet to, well, complete a few jobs around the house.
Maybe Robert Pattinson’s masturbation muse in the form of that siren / mermaid figurine from The Lighthouse? Or perhaps that bizarre, blingy Furby jewelry Adam Sandler flaunts in Uncut Gems?
Yesterday (22nd April) saw the first of a number of special auctions from independent film production company A24. With Kayla’s Eighth Grade time capsule box – hand-crafted – in the mix. The aim? To gather all proceeds from the sale of some of their movie paraphernalia and raise funds for workers and families following the repercussions of the coronavirus outbreak.
The COVID-19 relief will benefit four charities in New York (were A24 was born and raised) largely affected by the pandemic – FDNY Foundation, Food Bank For New York City, NYC Health + Hospitals and Queens Community House. The film studio will be host to several of these auctions over the next few weeks.
