Belfast Leads San Diego Film Critics Society Nominations

Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast leads this year’s nominations from the San Diego Film Critics Society with 12 nods including Best Picture. Unlike other awards ceremonies where she has been acknowledged in the supporting category, Caitríona Balfe is nominated for Best Actress. The film’s young star Jude Hill is a double nominee for Best Actor and Best Youth Performance. Denis Villeneuve’s Dune landed nine nominations, while Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog earned seven.
