Siân Heder’s CODA has broken all the rules to claim Best Picture at the 94th Academy Awards. The film also picked up wins for Best Supporting Actor for Troy Kotsur and Best Adapted Screenplay for Heder. Elsewhere, Jane Campion (The Power of the Dog) became only the third female to win Best Director, while Denis Villeneuve’s Dune swept the technical categories with six wins from its ten nominations.
