Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez leads this year’s nominations from the Latino Entertainment Journalists Association with 17 nominations including Best Picture. Elsewhere, Denise Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two scored 10 nominations, while The Substance and Wicked picked up nine each.
This year’s Breakout Award goes to Adria Arjona for her roles in Los Frikis, Hit Man and Blink Twice. This year’s Activism Award goes to John Leguizamo for highlighting the contributions of Latinos in history and entertainment. LEJA is also honouring veteran actor Edward James Olmos with this year’s Rita Moreno Lifetime Achievement Award.
