Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland has been named Best Film by GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics at their annual Dorian Film Awards. The film also won Best Director for Zhao and Most Visually Striking Film. Elsewhere, Promising Young Woman took home two awards for Best Actress for Carey Mulligan and Best Screenplay for Emerald Fennell, while Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom was declared Best LGBTQ Film. Veteran performers Leslie Jordan and Dolly Parton were honoured with the Timeless Star Award and Wilde Artist Award, respectively.
