‘Challengers’, ‘Nosferatu’, Coralie Fargeat Winners at the Pandora International Film Critics Awards

Pandora Filmotomy The Substance Winners 2024

The time has come – the Pandora International Film Critics have voted for their winners for the best in film 2024. The awards were announced across social media – X / Twitter and BlueSky earlier this evening.

Payal Kapadia’s acclaimed All We Imagine As Light took the top prize International Motion Picture. Coralie Fargeat continues to shake up the awards season with a Directing prize for The Substance, which also snagged the Hair & Make-Up award. Also with two awards were The Brutalist, taking English-Language Film and Acting Lead for Adrien Brody; and RaMell Ross a double winner for Screenwriting Adapted and Breakthrough Filmmaking for Nickel Boys.

They were not the highest tallies on the night for wins, with Challengers managing four wins – Editing, Score Composing, Song Composing, and Actor Support for Josh O’Connor. Then there was Nosferatu with three awards, for Set Design, Costume Design, and Cinematography. Pleasant surprises also came in the form of winners Katy O’Brian who took the Actress Support award for Love Lies Bleeding, and Jane Schoenbrun taking Screenwriting Original for I Saw the TV Glow.
