The official poster has been released for Mike Leigh’s upcoming film, Peterloo. The launch, by Entertainment One, included an unveiling of some of the film’s artwork recently in Manchester. Leigh’s picture tells the tragic tale of the Peterloo massacre in 1819, when a peaceful rally in Manchester escalated into a horrid part of British history. The film will premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in October at HOME in Manchester, and then later in London. There will also be Q&A events with Mike Leigh and members of the cast. Peterloo is on general release in November.
