Jasmila Žbanić’s Quo Vadis, Aida? has won European Film at the 2021 European Film Awards. Žbanić also took home European Director while the film’s star Jasna Đuričić won European Actress. Elsewhere, Florian Zeller The Father scored wins for Anthony Hopkins as European Actor and for Zeller and Christopher Hampton’s screenplay. Jonas Poher Rasmussen’s Flee landed two prizes for European Animated Feature and European Documentary.
