Ryan Coogler’s Sinners leads the nominations for the 98th Academy Awards with a record-breaking 16 nods. This shatters the record for the most nominations for one film in the history of the Oscars, which previously stood at 14. Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another was next in line with 13 nominations each, followed by Frankenstein, Marty Supreme, and Sentimental Value with nine each. All five films are up for Best Picture alongside Bugonia, F1, Hamnet, The Secret Agent, and Train Dreams.
There were shocks, snubs, and surprises aplenty, which we’ll dive into in a future piece. For now, below are your Academy Award nominees for 2025. The 98th Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
