This year marks marathon-worthy TV content with popular returning shows like The Boys, Euphoria, and Slow Horses. But of course, we can’t forget the trend for revival series too this year. TV Shows in 2026: JANUARY/FEBRUARY:
WWE: Unreal (Season 2)

Shrinking (Season 3)

The third season of Apple TV Plus’ Shrinking explores the main theme of ‘moving on.’ Whilst Paul (Harrison Ford) currently battles with Parkinson disease, therapist, Jimmy (Jason Seigel) finds it difficult to come to terms with his daughter moving out for college. Meanwhile, Matthew (Markus Silbiger) has to move back in with his parents, Liz (Christa Miller) and Derek (Ted McGinley) after losing his job.
The Night Agent (Season 3)

This new season of The Night Agent is set between New York, US and Istanbul, Turkey and sees Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) track a Treasury Agent gone rogue. The season is a direct continuation from season two and sees Peter deal with assassins in Istanbul. Returning cast members include Luciane Buchanan as Rose Larkin and Fola Evans-Akingbola as Chelsea Arrington among others.
Scrubs (Season 10)

Another TV Show in 2026 that sees a big return is the popular, Scrubs. A show which was last seen since its season nine airing in 2010. Now back together again, J.D. (Zach Braff), Turk (Donald Faison), and Sarah (Elliot Reid) work at the new and revamped Sacred Heart hospital along with a fresh set of interns. The characters navigate modern medicine and how the medical industry has evolved. There’s a return to the classic humour mixed with heart tone that viewers have come to know and love.

One Piece (Season 2)

Netflix’s season renewal of One Piece sees ‘The Straw Hat Pirates’ travel into the dangerous Grand Line to discover the treasure. But the perilous quests along the way mean wonder awaits every corner. The group are led by Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the series is based on Eiichiro Oda’s original manga comic series of 1997.
Young Sherlock

Amazon Prime Video’s new TV series, Sherlock follows teenager, Sherlock Holmes (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) as he attempts to solve his first major murder case situated at Oxford University in the 1870s. This action-packed thriller series is directed by Guy Ritchie and explores the brilliant mind of Sherlock, as well as his early friendship with James Moriarty (Dónal Finn).
Your Friends & Neighbors (Season 2)
Release Date: April 2026
Streaming Service: Apple TV+
The second season of Apple TV Plus’ drama series, Your Friends & Neighbors sees Coop (John Hamm) opt for a life of crime over returning to his old career. Coop will continue his criminal spree but the arrival of a new neighbour (James Marsden) places Coop’s family in danger. Expect an intense and darker tone in this new season.
The Boys (Season 5)

Amazon Prime Video’s final season of The Boys sees Homelander (Antony Starr) continue with season four’s aftermath, whilst The Boys are joined by allies form an unlikely force against Vought. Eventually everything leads to an apocalyptic showdown, including Starlight (Erin Moriarty), Maeve (Dominique McElligott), and Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). The last season concludes with an apocalyptic battle.
Euphoria (Season 3)

This season of Euphoria sees us fast-forward in time to post-high school. The characters navigate the responsibilities of young adult life and each have their own careers now. Rue (Zendaya) lives in Mexico and must pay off a huge debt whilst still battling addiction.
Meanwhile, married couple – Nate (Jacob Elordi) and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) have their own troubles. To Nate’s disapproval, Cassie works as a content creator and is addicted to social media. Whilst Jules (Hunter Schafer) studies art in New York, Maddie (Alexa Demie) works as a Hollywood Talent Manager with multiple side hustles. And Lexie (Maude Apatow) works as an assistant to a showrunner.
Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair
Release Date: April 2026

This reboot of the iconic ’90s American Sitcom series, titled Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair follows Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), now an adult who has actively chosen to avoid his chaotic family for a decade. But unfortunately for him he is pulled back into the family disaster during his parents 40th anniversary celebrations.
The four-episode revival series sees the return of iconic characters, including Malcolm’s parents – Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) and Hank (Bryan Cranston), as well as the two original cast members to portray his brothers – Francis (Christopher Masterson) and Reese (Justin Berfield).
Beef (Season 2)

The return of Netflix’s highly-anticipated anthology series, BEEF sees a cast of fresh faces. We follow young couple, Austin (Charles Melton) and Ashley (Cailee Spaeny) as they navigate the manipulative and tumultuous marriage of their elite country club bosses – Josh (Oscar Isaac) and Lindsay (Carey Mulligan).

Hacks (Season 5)

Season five of the popular American drama series, Hacks will continue from season four’s finale. This new season will explore the complicated nature behind Deborah’s (Jean Smart) and Ava’s (Hannah Einbinder) rocky relationship. As power dynamics come into play, Deborah attempts to manage her late-night talk show post-scandal and amidst Ava’s controversy.
The Bear (Season 5)
Release Date: June/July 2026

FX’s The Bear: season five continues on from season four’s finale. After leaving the restaurant for mental health reasons, Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) sets out on a new path. He must reignite his passion for cooking again but in a less chaotic way this time.
Meanwhile, Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) is left with the responsibility of taking over the kitchen at ‘The Bear’ restaurant. The story will focus on reaching for that Michelin star and expanding the restaurant, whilst working around its financial issues. With the returning cast members, Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) continuing to grow and Marcus (Lionel Boyce) seeking out new opportunities.

House of the Dragon (Season 3)

HBO’s House of the Dragon returns for season three which surrounds the Dance of the Dragons. Two major battles happen this season with The Battle of the Gullet and The Fishfeed.
Advertised as the biggest season yet, large-scale naval battles involve a fight between the Triarchy and the Lannisters. There’s conflicts, bloody battles, and major victory. The returning main cast includes Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, and Rhys Ifans: as Otto Hightower.
Ted Lasso (Season 4)

The highly-anticipated return of Apple TV Plus’ Ted Lasso sees a continuation from season three. Now in Richmond, Kansas, Ted (Jason Sudeikis) begins coaching a woman’s football team.
But this season he faces his biggest challenge so far and the team must take risks and chances to succeed. The returning cast includes Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins, and Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard.
The Diplomat (Season 4)

The high stakes Netflix thriller series, The Diplomat sees the result from season three’s major fallout. We follow Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) as she finds out her husband, Hal (Rufus Sewell) and President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) have made plans to seize a dangerous nuclear weapon from Russia.
But feeling utterly betrayed by those close to her, Kate attempts to make amends with the dwindling bond with the UK. Slated as the last chapter in the series, Kate must not only deal with her marriage problems but with global diplomacy tensions too.
Slow Horses (Season 5)
Release Date: Autumn 2026

The fifth season of the popular Apple TV+ series, Slow Horses sees the adaptation of two Mick Herron novels with ‘Joe Country’ and ‘Slough House.’ Deputy Director General of MI5 – Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) involves the Slow Horses’ Slough House agent team – made up of Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) and River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) in a plan of revenge; particularly as a populist London movement begins following on from a major betrayal in season five. The team are now on the run against the agency they once served. And so, the spy thriller runs at a faster pace with a much darker tone.
Yellowjackets (Season 4)
Release Date: Late 2026

The final chapter to Showtime and Paramount Plus’ hit TV drama, Yellowjackets sees the aftermath of the survivors and their rescue. We crossover between the ’90s and present-day stories.
This season challenges the question if the survivors can truly live with their secrets? Tensions boil between Shauna (Melanie Lynskey), who leads the rituals and Taissa (Tawny Cypress) who tries to keep her humanity.
The Witcher (Season 5)
Release Date: Late 2026
Streaming Service: Netflix
This epic last season of The Witcher sees a darker tone and combines the storylines of Geralt (Liam Hemsworth), Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allen). This time around they face world-changing problems from Geralt’s rogue mission to Yennefer’s goal to prevent the evil Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu) from stealing Ciri’s Elder Blood powers.
Meanwhile, Ciri is on another whole mission herself as she attempts to flee from bounty hunter, Leo Bonhart’s captivity and avenge the Rats. But ultimately Geralt and Yennefer must reunite with Ciri to form their newfound family bond.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale
Release Date: Late 2026
Streaming Service: Disney+
This revival series brought to the small screen by Hulu, titled, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale sees the ever-popular ’90s cult-classic TV series brought back from the dead. Set between Old Sunnydale and New Sunnydale, this direct continuation from the original series follows teenage bookworm, Nova (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) who soon discovers that she is a vampire slayer.
But training this young slayer to fight off a new generation of vampires is none other than Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) herself. Decades after the original series, we see Buffy as a mentor this time round to help Nova fight off a new, rising vampire army.

There’s plenty of returning shows to catch too including the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, which is set to premiere on Disney+ in March.
