The Power of the Dog Leads 94th Academy Awards Nominations

Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog leads the way at the nominations for the 94th Academy Awards with 12 nods including Best Picture, Best Director and Adapted Screenplay for Campion, Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch, Best Supporting Actress for Kirsten Dunst, and Best Supporting Actor for Jesse Plemons and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Denis Villeneuve’s Dune was close behind with 10 nominations including Best Picture where the film is joined by Belfast, CODA, Don’t Look Up, Drive My Car, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, Nightmare Alley, and West Side Story. Jonas Poher Rasmussen’s Flee made history as the first film to receive nominations for Best International Feature Film, Best Animated Feature, and Best Documentary Feature.
