The Power of the Dog Named Best Picture by Latino Entertainment Journalists Association

Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog has been named Best Picture by the Latino Entertainment Journalists Association. Campion picked up wins for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay and the film also won Best Editing for Peter Scibberas.

Elsewhere, Penélope Cruz (Parallel Mothers) and Andrew Garfield (tick, tick…BOOM!) took home Best Actress and Actor, respectively, while Encanto collected four prizes for Best Animated Film, Best Musical Score, Best Song Written for a Film for “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” and Best Voice or Motion Capture Performance for Stephanie Beatriz. Lin-Manuel Miranda was this year’s recipient of the Latino Activism Award.
