The Six Triple Eight Wins Outstanding Motion Picture at NAACP Image Awards

Tyler Perry’s The Six Triple Eight has won Outstanding Motion Picture at the 56th NAACP Image Awards. The film also picked up wins for Outstanding Actress for Kerry Washington, Outstanding Supporting Actress and Outstanding Breakthrough Performance for Ebony Obsidian, and Outstanding Ensemble Cast. Elsewhere, RaMell Ross’ Nickel Boys took home awards for Outstanding Director for Ross, Outstanding Screenwriting for Ross and co-writer Joslyn Barnes, and Outstanding Cinematography. KeKe Palmer was named Entertainer of the Year.
