After three months since we got a first look with the official trailer, Sony Pictures released a new trailer for 2018’s Venom sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
The film is set to be the second chapter in the ‘Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters‘ franchise and shared universe of films based entirely on Marvel’s side characters and storylines associated with Spider-Man. Directed by Andy Serkis, with the story by Tom Hardy and Kelly Mercel, the sequel sees journalist Eddie Brock/Venom (Hardy) trying to give a fresh new start to his career by interviewing the serial killer Cletus Kasady, played by Woody Harrelson, who becomes the host of Carnage, another alien symbiote similar to Venom but far more violent and deadly.
Most of the original cast is also reprising their roles, with Naomie Harris joining the cast as Frances Barrison aka. Shriek, Kasady love’s interest and another one of Spider-Man enemies.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage opens in U.K. theaters only on September 15. Watch the new trailer below:
