- Tribeca Film Festival: Freestyle (2026) Review: A Cool, Competitive Sports DramaJordan Britt directs this female-led sports drama short film about three talented, competitive figure skaters who all want to secure a place at regionals. But young kleptomaniac figure skater, Sophia has other plans which unjustly causes bitter rivalries. Freestyle saw its world premiere in Tribeca’s ‘Shorts: Competitive Edge’ category.
- Tribeca Film Festival: Whale 52 – Suite For Man, Boy, And Whale (2025) Is A Sweet Story of FriendshipDaniel Neiden directs this emotionally heart-rendering story of intergenerational friendship. Its animation style brings a pencil-sketch visual with hand-drawn styling by famous animator, Bill Plympton. Based on the legend of ‘the loneliest whale’, we review ‘Whale 52’ as part of Tribeca Film Festival’s ‘Shorts: Whoopi’s Wonderful World of Animation’ category.
- Tribeca Film Festival: Imprint (2026) Review: An Innovative Science-Fiction FilmRan Jing directs this Science Fiction short about a mother’s desperate attempt to provide her daughter with a competitive edge. Set in the near future where big corporations trade knowledge for citizenship. But one mother’s pursuit for her daughter’s greatness goes a little too far. Imprint celebrates its world premiere.

- Tribeca Film Festival: Dear Upstairs Neighbors (2026) Review: A Unique AnimationConnie Qin He directs this strikingly visual animation about a hard-worker who needs a good night’s sleep in ‘Dear Upstairs Neighbors.’ Its animation style is bright, neon, and edgy with hand-painted artwork. Working with Google DeepMind researchers, the ‘living painting’ animated visuals creates a beautiful crossover between dreams and reality.
