That’s right, 100. Though this particular Follow Friday will spill into Saturday, depending on where you are in the world. Though that is always the case. And by 100, I am not referring to the number of accounts I want to give a big fat shout out, no. I am talking about 100 tweets. Closer to 1,000 accounts actually. The hugest Twitter #FF I have ever seen.
The Festival Cinephilia is, of course, an online kind of promotional thrust from Filmotomy of an uncountable amount of great film content out there. Be it bloggers, freelance writers, podcasters, YouTubers, Twitter lurkers, filmmakers, film critics – professional or not. The mediums are endless. And the ridiculous amount of work I’m putting in (because I am not busy enough, you see) is in honour of my dearly departed mother, who I lost to cancer on 9th June 2018. So this Sunday is going to be emotional.
