The Women Film Critics Circle (or WFCC) are the big wigs of the female critics association of women critics. A group of women writers, scholars, journalists, creators of various forms of media. Their curve ball is a magnificent support and representation of women in film. In front of and behind the camera.
The awards are made extra significant given the turbulent ride many women have had in a year of filmmaking breakthroughs and sexual misconduct revelations.
