After the wonderful display of the best in fashion at Chanel’s Pre-Oscars Dinner and the Oscars red carpet comes the after-party looks. The red carpet showcases the best of award season fashion. This year’s after-party was held at The Walis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California.

While hosted by Vanity Fair Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Radhika Jones, the after-party boasted some amazing looks. These stemmed from the biggest names in fashion worn by major stars in the film industry. Some themes on the night included darker gowns, particularly in the colour black. Also glitz and sparkles added another popular trend this year.

15. Shay Mitchell

It was the star of the hugely popular teen show, Pretty Little Liars (2010-2017) Shay Mitchell who wore Celia Kritharioti. But this bold strapless black satin gown at the after-party gave a slight delicate look.

However, it’s fitted bodice contrasts nicely with the big bow detail. Although, this design really places the focus on the waistline to create a smoothly powerful silhouette.

14. Mary J. Blige

Music legend, Mary J. Blige wore a custom Gaurav Gupta gown. However, she opted for a dramatic look at the after-party with a red strapless gown bedazzled in jewels.

But the sparkles were not the only dramatic detail. Instead it was the side split and winged shoulder which gave an edgy touch.

Although, this look really screamed Dorothy’s red slippers from The Wizard of Oz (1939). However, this could also be a slight nod to the Oscars-nominated musical, Wicked (2024).

13. Mikey Madison

It’s truly Mikey Madison’s year in cinema! Even the newly awarded Oscar winner wore a Dior Haute Couture gown that really suited her.

But there’s also a vintage touch to the gown. This look was first featured in the Dior ‘Salzbourg’ Autumn/Winter collection of 1956-1957. However, Mikey truly shone in the pitch-black gown. that featured bow detailing and a matching shawl too.

12. Drew Starkey

Netflix’s highly-popular teen drama series, Outer Banks (2020-) saw Drew Starkey rise to the big leagues of acting. Then the widely popular Luca Guadagnino movie, Queer (2024) saw Drew also having his spotlight moment.

Also shining and looking dapper on the red carpet, Drew rocked up in a Saint Laurent suit. This look was reminiscent of Hollywood’s Gangster genre. Just like Robert Redford’s suits in The Sting (1973). Nevertheless, this look definitely ‘suits’ Drew Starkey.

11. Hailey Bieber

Model and daughter of Stephen Baldwin, Hailey Bieber walked the after-party carpet. On the night she wore a custom vintage Yves Saint Laurent couture gown. Also adding extra detail to the black strapless gown are the statement bow and mesh skirt.

10. Serena Williams

Also attending the after-party is esteemed tennis champion, Serena Williams. However, the tennis star clearly did not come to the event to play. But she dazzled in a black strapless sparkly gown by Dolce & Gabbana.

Although, her style really took the phrase ‘it’s the beauty in the details’ statement seriously. The details really start from the sweetheart necklace and the black sequins. Even with the side split mesh skirt they all came together so well to create this stunning look.

9. Elle Fanning

Starring in the Oscar-nominated film, A Complete Unknown (2024) it was Elle Fanning who added a touch of Hollywood glamour. While gracing the carpet in a custom Givenchy gown, the star shone brightly in a long strapless black sparkly gown.

But the tiny additions really made this look pop. The small, bold and bright red belt matched perfectly with the heels. But it was the black tulle skirt, and the matching black sequinned cape which gave this look the real edge. It’s a very elegant Elle Fanning look.

8. Kaia Gerber

American model, Kaia Gerber is no stranger to walking the red carpet. However, she is a twin double of her mother and model, Cindy Crawford. Kaia rocked up to the red carpet wearing a vintage archival Valentino gown.

Although, she chose a much lighter look for her after-party style. Kaia stunned in a long multi-layered light-cream gown.

But she appeared truly majestic when she topped the look with a beautifully flowy matching cape. This look oozed bridal aura for the daughter of supermodel supremacy.

7. Cynthia Erivo

Nominated for ‘best actress in a leading role’ at the Oscars, Cynthia Erivo looked on point at the after-party. Her dress was draped in a silver-grey tulle material. Cynthia wore legendary British designer, Vivienne Westwood.

Also added to the look were two black satin bows with pearls. Of course, Cynthia served two stunning looks on Oscar’s night. The other look was her emerald-green Louis Vuitton gown on the red carpet.

6. Niecy Nash-Betts

Dazzling on the after-party carpet is actress Niecy Nash-Betts wearing Michael Castello. The stunning long-sleeve gown featured all-over black sequins with added cut-out details.

However, this look was clearly already excelling on its own. But the actress went a little extra and paired the shiny gown with a long furry black scarf.

Also to match with the glamorous look was her elegant updo hairstyle. This look is definitely after-party approved.

5. Fifth Best Look at the Oscars After-party: Jessica Williams

American actress, Jessica Williams wore a stunning gown by Richard Quinn. However, it’s truly an elegant and gorgeous look for the after-party night. The shimmery bejewelled bodice with a little black satin bow was stunning. This matched perfectly with the full skirt and tulle underlay. But looking like a princess, this white gown by Richard Quinn shone very brightly on the night.

4. Fourth Best Look at the Oscars After-party: Hailee Steinfeld

True Grit breakout star and pop singer, Hailee Steinfeld played the after-party with a pretty look from Tamara Ralph. However, she truly stunned the cameras in a strapless silver fitted gown. Further features included sparkly pearl gems, and diamantes all-over the dress which truly shined in the spotlight.

Although, Hailee also added a nice touch of contrast to her after-party look. The huge, long black opera coat can be appreciated for its one-hundred percent effort on the carpet. Although this whole look would have excelled on the Oscars red carpet!

3. Third Best Look at the Oscars After-party: Cara Delevingne

British supermodel, Cara Delevingne wore a custom GapStudio gown. Although it’s simple and stylish, this plain denim-style gown nearly stole the whole after-party. It seriously looked so good! But the strapless and fitted floor-length gown was even paired to perfection with denim opera gloves to match her look.

2. Second Best Look at the Oscars After-party: Colman Domingo

Oscar-nominated for ‘best leading actor’ for his role in prison-drama, Sing Sing (2023) it was Colman Domingo who served another amazing look this award season. Stepping out wearing Dolce & Gabbana and showing his fashionably pitch-black suit was one of the highlights on the night.

However, Colman oozed glitz and glamour with this daring look that was dazzled in a sparkly all-over black sequins suit jacket. Although, underneath the jacket he wore a black satin shirt.

Colman also matched this with a sparkly pair of black gloves. But the Oscar-nominated actor certainly did not disappoint with his fashion looks throughout the 2025 award season.

K-pop sensation of BLACKPINK, and star of season three’s The White Lotus (2021-) it was LISA who looked Hollywood-ready. However, she wore a custom Miss Sohee Couture, which she shined in a black lace bodysuit.

In addition to this, her leather corset even edged out into the shape of a shell. The layer underneath also revealed a black velvet maxi skirt.

Also to complete her glamorous attire it was LISA who wore a popular hairstyle right now with the ‘Wet-Hair Look’. Her look was one of the most unique styles of the night and was certainly on theme.

The Oscars Vanity Fair After-Party 2025 Styles

Some of the most on-theme looks of the night surely goes to Colman Domingo’s sparkling suit. As well as, Niecy Nash-Betts dazzling ensemble which served looks. We also cannot forget LISA’s alluring choice of gown too. But other than the trending black gowns it was a little pop of colour which also goes a long way.

Also acing the after-party theme is without a doubt, Cynthia Erivo’s silver-grey gown which was accessorised in black bows. As well as, Jessica Williams’ doll-like white ballgown which was also decorated with a bow. And of course, Hailee Steinfeld had a stunning diamante embellished fitted gown along with the black opera coat which was a clear winner from the night.
