2018 Detroit Film Critics Society Awards Nominations

It’s the time for those few critical minded film folk to unleash their nominations in Detroit. That’s the land of the Tigers and RoboCop. At this stage we’re just looking for a change in the norm, the direction of the wind, a shift of perspective here and there this awards season.

No A Star Is Born, or The Favourite, making the Picture category. A Quiet Place and Eighth Grade pop in to take their place. Bo Burnham’s little gem is heavily favoured by the Detroit critics, featuring in what you might say are all the right places. Take a look:
