In case you missed the Roll of Honor for the 4th Femme Filmmakers Festival on Sunday you can watch the winners via the Vimeo videos below. Thanks to the official jury (Jasmine, Aurora, Nico, Maria, Sonia, Miriam, Lala, Caitlin, Niall, Catherine, Billie) for getting in the thick of it.
There was a brilliant variation of winners. Control, directed by Kimmy Gatewood and written by Alison Becker, won 3 prizes for Silver Sword, Editing and Special Contribution for Becker’s actual dog, Dignan.
Claire Fowler’s Salam bagged 2, Gold Sovereign and Cinematography, as did Once Upon a Line, directed by Alicja Jasina, for Sound and sharing the Bronze Bell prize with Roxy Rezvany’s Little Pyongyang. Elizabeth Rose won Writing for The Law of Averages, Courtney Hope Therond took Directing, while Maegan Houang’s In Full Bloom was awarded the Maya Deren Short Film Innovation Prize.
