Tom Hanks set to appear in Wes Anderson’s Next Project

The exact extent of Tom Hanks‘ role is not yet made known, but sources via The Hollywood Reporter tell it’s most likely a small, cameo role. Wes Anderson is writing and directing the project — of which the plot details are still under wraps. The director’s regular players Adam Brody, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton will feature in the film.

Hanks is said to make a small appearance in Anderson’s next film after The French Dispatch. A first collaboration for the Oscar winning actor and the acclaimed director.

The French Dispatch will be released in U.K. and US theaters on October 22, following the Cannes debut in July. Hanks was recently seen in the Paul Greengrass film News Of The World, and will next star in Finch, a sci-fi feature to be released on Apple TV+, Buz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley musical biopic and Robert Zemeckis’s Pinocchio, in which he’ll play Geppetto.
