Tommy Lyon Live Music Review Support Act: dearALICE UK Tour 2025

Tommy Lyon UK Tour 2025 - Filmotomy

Likeable, down-to-earth, and kind-hearted – Tommy Lyon is a solo rising star to look out for. Previously known for being in the band, Here At Last – the British singer boasts 3 million followers on TikTok where he’s often seen singing with his ex-band members too.

Rising Star

dearALICE fans were first introduced to Tommy on a livestream announcing his opening to their UK 2025 tour. The tour consisted of four shows, starting in Cardiff then London to Newcastle and Manchester. I attended the Cardiff and London shows. Tommy was instantly likeable and proved an excellent choice to open the shows. He has pretty effortless and flawless vocals that were smooth, soothing, and has an angelic voice that is extremely easy to listen to. You can hear every word.

Tommy Lyon has soulful vocals, and I see him as being quite fresh in the industry right now, which is very much welcomed. Similar to dearALICE, Tommy Lyon is quite unique in the music landscape, and I think he’s carved out his own style pretty well.

The setlist included “Ruins”, “Live to Die”, a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer”, “All That I’ve Known”, and his new song, “Last First Dance.” “Live to Die” sounds to me like it belongs in a Hollywood film track like a Bond theme. My personal favourite is Tommy’s latest single, “Last First Dance” which he sings excellently.

Making Time For Fans

One of the best aspects about Tommy Lyon is how he makes time for his fans. Tommy interacts post-show and is genuinely a nice person. When you’re investing in the music, you’re also investing in the singer and their personality. Tommy invests as much into his fans as they give to him. And that’s a quality you want to see in a true artist.

Reciprocating the same energy into the fans is what makes Tommy someone especially young people should invest in and look up to. A sold-out merch t-shirt in London proves he’s also in demand. I would personally love to see a collaborative song release between Tommy and dearALICE and I think he was the perfect choice to open their tour. When you see Tommy performing on stage, that’s exactly who he is and the crowd feeds back on his nice and calm energy.

By the end of the night, I’m left with Tommy’s lyrics stuck in my head which just goes to show his music is worth investing in. One of my favourite things about meeting Tommy is his mature nature. He gives off the vibe that he knows who he is as a singer and has a consistent style. For his first-ever solo performance stages, both Cardiff and London were super impressive. And I’m definitely a new fan.

His voice is so easy to listen to and he has a very likeable personality. It’s clear he knows his music style well and wouldn’t let fame change him. I hope we get to see more from Tommy and hopefully more alongside dearALICE too. His new song, “Last First Dance” is released on October 31st, alongside a listening party which you can join here.

You can follow Tommy Lyon across social media platforms – TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify.
