The nominations for the 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have been unveiled and it’s surprisingly House of Gucci that truly leads with three nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Cast, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Lady Gaga, and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Jared Leto.
The Power of the Dog also scored three individual nominations for Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, and Kodi Smit-McPhee, but was absent from the ensemble category. The biggest snub of the announcement was presumed Best Actress frontrunner Kristen Stewart missing a leading actor nomination for Spencer. In her place, SAG have chosen Jennifer Hudson, who scores her first major nomination of the season for Respect.
The winners will be announced on Sunday, February 27 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California at 5pm PT / 8pm ET / 1am GMT.
