A record 92 countries have submitted films to be considered for the final shortlist in the Foreign Language Film category at the 90th Academy Awards. This includes a few familiar successes from the Cannes Film Festival, as well as an array of female directed films. The international range of cinema truly is one of my passions, so am eagerly anticipating so many of these – and those that did no make it here. There’ll be some hefty coverage right here of this category throughout awards season. Nominations will be announced on 23rd January 2018, before the Oscars take place on 4th March 2018.
