Awards season is now officially underway with the announcement of the nominations for the 34th Gotham Independent Film Awards. Leading the way this year is Sean Baker’s Anora with 4 nominations for Best Feature, Best Director for Baker, Best Lead Performance for Mikey Madison, and Best Supporting Performance for Yura Borisov.
In previously announced tribute awards, Denis Villeneuve will receive the Director Tribute award for Dune: Part Two and the cast of Malcolm Washington’s The Piano Lesson will be honoured with the Ensemble Tribute prize.
The 34th Annual Gotham Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
