Best Visual Effects Oscars Predictions (February)

While the final five Oscar nominees for Best Visual Effects gave us a couple of surprises (I’m still scratching my head over Jurassic World Rebirth making it in), we’ve always known this race was over before it even began.

Avatar: Fire and Ash just expectedly took the BAFTA to match its win at the Critics Choice Awards. It’s likely going to dominate the awards from the Visual Effects Society later this week. And, barring a monumental upset, it’s going to win the Oscar in a few weeks.
