Final Oscars Nominations Predictions – Best Makeup and Hairstyling

With the Academy’s nominations announcement drawing closer by the day, it’s time to lay it all on the line with my final Oscar nomination predictions. In the race for Best Makeup and Hairstyling, we’ve got Maestro, Poor Things, and Oppenheirme all with the trio of key precursor nominations; BAFTA, Critics Choice, and the Make-Up and Hairstylists Guild, so they all feel safe for Oscar nominations.

Those final two spots could go all sorts of ways. While Golda isn’t a contender anywhere else, Helen Mirren’s transformation into the 4th Prime Minister of Israel is the kind of work the Academy usually fawns over. Likewise with the makeup used to turn a bunch of healthy actors into a starving rugby team in Society of the Snow.

BEST MAKEUP AND HAIRSTYLING PREDICTIONS:
1. Maestro (Netflix) – BAFTA, CCA, MUAH
2. Poor Things (Searchlight Pictures) – BAFTA, CCA, MUAH
3. Oppenheimer (Universal Pictures) – BAFTA, CCA, MUAH
4. Golda (Bleecker Street) – MUAH
5. Society of the Snow (Netflix)

Alternate: Napoleon
