Final Oscars Predictions – Best Actress

While the other three acting categories are providing all sorts of headaches for prognosticators, at least we have the security of knowing one thing for certain: Jessie Buckley (Hamnet) is winning Best Actress. After her performance netted rave reviews during the fall festival season, Buckley immediately became the overwhelming favourite. She hasn’t budged an inch since then.

Buckley is the only actor to sweep this season, with wins at the Golden Globes, the Actor Awards, the BAFTAs, and the Critics Choice Awards, plus 35 wins from the critics groups. Barring a massive upset, Buckley will become the first Irish actress to win this category.
