Beale Street, Green Book, Lady Gaga Too, Win Big with the National Board of Review

A Star Is Born takes the directing and two acting slices of the cake, as the National Board of Review go Gaga over the remake. Oscar predictors fall into in a frenzy, after wins for the like of Burnham, Shrader and McKenzie.

A popular win, surely, with RBG taking the Documentary prize, and Animated Feature going to Incredibles 2, which at this stage might not be too much of a surprise. Those Crazy Rich Asians land a well-deserved award for their ensemble, with Cold War winning Foreign Language Film, to which there’ll be no grumble.

An acting win apiece for If Beale Street Could Talk and Green Book, the latter named Best Film, with Jenkins and Shrader the Screenplay wins they took. And how about 22 July grabbing one of those awards for Freedom of Expression, when the film we should be talking about is the superior native Norwegian version.

I make sure it's known the company's in business. I'd see that it had a certain panache. That's what I'm good at. Not the work, not the work... the presentation.
