Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things were the big winners at the 81st Golden Globe Awards. The former picked up wins for Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Director, Best Actor – Drama for Cillian Murphy, Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr., and Best Score, while the latter took out Best Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy and Best Actress – Musical/Comedy for Emma Stone.
Elsewhere, The Holdovers and Anatomy of a Fall picked up two awards each. The former took out Best Actor – Musical/Comedy for Paul Giamatti and Best Supporting Actress for Da’Vine Joy Randolph, while the latter won Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language and a surprise victory for Best Screenplay.
