Ryan Coogler’s Sinners has been named Best Picture by the Music City Film Critics Association. The film picked up 12 awards in total, including Best Director, Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, Best Acting Ensemble, and Best Screenplay. This makes it the most-awarded film in the association’s history, breaking the previous record of seven set by Oppenheimer in 2024.
“Ryan Coogler’s mesmerizing dance of darkness delivered a theatrical experience that no other film in 2025 could rival,” said Sean Atkins, President of the MCFCA. “For a work so deeply rooted in music, I cannot think of a more fitting recipient to now hold the record as the most awarded film in our Association’s history.”
