Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance has been named Best Film by the Kansas City Film Critics Circle. The film also picked up wins for Best Director, Best Actress for Demi Moore in a tie with Mikey Madison (Anora), Best Supporting Actress for Margaret Qualley, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror.
