Wicked Declared Best Picture by Hollywood Creative Alliance

Jon M Chu’s Wicked has been declared Best Picture by the Hollywood Creative Alliance at the HCA Astra Film & Creative Arts Awards. The film also picked up wins for Best Director for Chu, Best Actress for Cynthia Erivo, Best Supporting Actress for Ariana Grande (tied with Zoe Saldana for Emilia Pérez), Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.

Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown) was this year’s recipient of the Astra Breakthrough Award, Karla Sofía Gascón (Emilia Pérez) took home the Astra Game Changer Award, cinematographer Jomo Fray (Nickel Boys) earned the Artisan Spotlight Award, and actress-turned-writer/director Jennifer Esposito received the Astra Filmmaker on the Rise Award.
