4th Femme Filmmakers Festival Opens With Aurora Fearnley’s Pulsar

FemmeFilmFest

The 4th Femme Filmmakers Festival is finally here. On Day One we begin our three-day salute to the incomparable Agnès Varda, with the feature film where she began. We also highlight a film set a hundred years ago in light of one of the greatest women struggles in our history.

Our Official Selection for the short competition begins too, with three excellent but very different films. The teaser trailer for the entire festival can be found just down there, as well as the Filmotomy Podcast episode 85 where we preview the festival.

We open with one of our own esteemed jury members for this years selection, filmmaker Aurora Fearnley and her sci-fi short, Pulsar. Check out the full line-up below, then keep on scrolling for reviews, behind the scenes photos, our interview with Fearnley and the films composer, as well as the opportunity to see the short film right now. Seen it already? Well, go watch it again.

I make sure it's known the company's in business. I'd see that it had a certain panache. That's what I'm good at. Not the work, not the work... the presentation.
