6th Femme Filmmakers Festival Open For Submissions – and Official Poster Revealed

It seems to be earlier and earlier each and every year that we embark on the Femme Filmmakers Festival in the ultimate preparation for the annual event. With the COVID-19 pandemic keeping us partly in the dark and away from some of our greatest comforts, the celebration of film through festivals is at essential as ever. It’s hard to fathom this is our 6th year running the FemmeFilmFest, an extensive program of short and feature films with the artistic prowess of women behind the camera. Submissions for the 2021 short film programme is now well and truly open. And we can also reveal the official poster for the 2021 event. This year the online festival will run from 27th August through 5th September 2021.

The Femme Filmmakers Festival is an exclusively online film festival, which showcases the short and feature film works directed by women. We promote and encouraging live viewings, offer details of where you can stream films, and we provide extensive coverage via reviews, podcasts, interviews etc.

At the close of the 10 day event we run a Roll of Honor for the selected short films to give a grand hat tip to some of the exceptional work. You can check out previous winners here.
