75th Directors Guild of America Awards Nominations Announced

The Directors Guild of America has announced their nominations for the 75th Directors Guild of America Awards. The only true surprise in the final five nominees would be Joseph Kosinski for Top Gun: Maverick. Most pundits aren’t considering Kosinski a strong contender for a Best Director Oscar nod and DGA hasn’t matched the Academy 5/5 in more than 15 years.

Disappointingly, there are no female nominees in the Theatrical Feature Film category this year. However, four of the five nominees for First-Time Feature Film are female filmmakers.

The Directors Guild of America Awards will be announced on Saturday, February 18. Full list of nominations below.
