ACE Eddie Awards Winners Revealed

The American Cinema Editors (ACE) has announced the winners of the 71st Annual ACE Eddie Awards for outstanding editing in film in 2020. In a win that complicates the Oscars race for Best Editing where Sound of Metal has been the recent favourite, Alan Baumgarten was awarded Best Edited Feature Film (Drama) for The Trial of the Chicago 7. In a shock upset over Oscar nominee Promising Young Woman, Matthew Friedman and Andrew Dickler won Best Edited Feature Film (Comedy) for Palm Springs.
