There are 70 in total, with more veteran singer-songwriters like Elvis Costello, Pat Benatar, and Stevie Nicks in with a shout. Eligibility means songs require both music and lyrics, and composed for motion pictures released in 2017. All 70 of the eligible songs are listed below, which will be whittled down to 5 when the Oscar nominations are announced 23rd January 2018.
