Best Film Editing Oscars Predictions (February)

The final five films that scored a Best Film Editing nomination at the Oscars really only contained one minor surprise in the form of Sentimental Value. It wasn’t nominated at the Critics Choice Awards, and it didn’t even appear on the BAFTA longlist. It did score an ACE Eddie nod, but that came after the Academy’s announcement, so perhaps we might have seen it coming had ACE revealed their picks earlier.

With F1 winning the CCA and One Battle After Another scoring the BAFTA, we’ve got a split race on our hands as we head into the final round of voting. The latter feels like it’s slightly ahead right now, but let’s wait to see what ACE does this weekend before making our final prediction.
