I wonder, have you ever wanted to do jury service? Well, there is no courtroom per se here. This opportunity is for Filmotomy’s 4th annual Femme Filmmakers Festival, which runs again between 6th – 15th September, 2019. Last year our small jury of film lovers from various walks of life helped rate 20 official selection short films in different categories. In turn, some of those films were awarded prizes based on that curation.
This year will pretty much be the same. The final official selection has yet to be determined, but once it is, the jury members will watch each film and give their views on various categories (acting, writing, cinematography etc.) and an overall rating for the film. This will be done during a meeting will all members to decide collectively on the merits to be awarded.
We expect the following of each jury member:
- to commit to the task of watching all short films in the official selection in allotted time.
- be available for the short meeting to discuss the films as a group.
- allow Filmotomy to publish list of jury members on the site with short bio.
- shown a true interest in the event by emailing me, or contacting via Twitter.
Deadline for entries Friday 2nd August, 2019.
