Bringing Lionel Shriver’s novel to the screen took some time for director Lynne Ramsay to get made, a psychological drama echoing the despairs of motherhood. We Need To Talk About Kevin focuses on the troubled, off-the-wall son of the film’s title who is incarcerated, and his mother Eva looks back at his turbulent childhood and the problems she had bonding with the boy.
