One Battle After Another Wins 2024 USC Scripter Award

Paul Thomas Anderson’s screenplay for One Battle After Another has won the 38th annual USC Scripter Award from the University of Southern California. The Scripter Award is given to what is considered the best screenwriting adaptation of the year. Last year, Peter Straughan took home this award for Conclave before winning the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Ira Sachs for Sideshow/Janus’ Peter Hujar’s Day based on the book of the same name by Linda Rosenkrantz

Clint Bentley and Greg Kwedar for Netflix’s Train Dreams based on the novella of the same name by Denis Johnson
