Bold, classic, celebratory, and glamorous seemed to be the main themes on this year’s Oscars red carpet. The 98th Academy Awards, held at The Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles, California saw Conan O’Brien return to host this year’s ceremony that serves to annually celebrate the best work in film. Here we look at five of the best looks from film’s biggest night of the year.
5. Mikey Madison

Back on the Oscars red carpet from her ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ award for Anora (2024) at last year’s ceremony, Mikey Madison was elegantly flawless here. Her off-the-shoulder red gown by Dior featured draping at the hips and a thigh-high slit. This look screams ‘Hollywood’ from the deep elegant satin red fabric to the daring neckline and slit – she elegantly matched with black heels, red lips, and light curls.
4. Kieran Culkin

Last year’s ‘Best Supporting Actor’ winner, Kieran Culkin joined the Oscars red carpet this year with an on-trend look. Matching with the Academy’s golden-brown theming, Kieran Culkin wore a black shirt, trousers, and tailored brown blazer with a stylish lapel pin to look effortlessly chic.
3. May Hong

A standout among the red-carpet looks was May Hong’s (Mira in KPop Demon Hunters (2025)), all-black off-the-shoulder gown. Oozing both goth glamour and sophistication, May Hong’s sheer dress paired stylishly with ruffle detail at the neckline and train to dramatic bell sleeves and silver drop earrings.

Nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her role in Sentimental Value (2025), Elle Fanning’s look was elegant, mystical, and glamorous.
1. Michael B. Jordan

The man of this awards season, Michael B. Jordan truly shone in this glorious moment, not just on stage but on the red carpet too. Wearing a tailored Louis Vuitton suit – Michael B. Jordan looked slick and powerful. His all-black suit featured chain detail and matched the golden Oscar statue he later won for ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’, playing identical twins, Smoke and Stack in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners (2025).
