USC Scripter Finalists Revealed

The USC Scripter finalists have been announced. This honors the work for Adapted Screenplays and the source material. Winners will be revealed on 9th February, for now here are the films nominated:

  • Ryan Coogler, Joe Robert Cole for Black Panther; based on the character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby
  • Nicole Holofcener, Jeff Whitty for Can You Ever Forgive Me?; author Lee Israel.
  • Armando Iannucci, Ian Martin, David Schneider for The Death of Stalin; based on the graphic novel by Fabien Nury and Thierry Robin.
  • Barry Jenkins for If Beale Street Could Talk; author James Baldwin.
  • Debra Granik, Anne Rosellini for Leave No Trace: based on the novel My Abandonment by Peter Rock.
