A huge part of celebrating our 10 year anniversary of Filmotomy is the specific focus on 2014 in Film. It has been a while since we returned to the yearly series, but here we are again with an era that seems only like yesterday. And a nostalgic time for me personally, getting to surround myself in the movies that were staring right back at me when I officially launched a film website.
How you determine the films from 2014 is up to you. I know release dates and festival runs pollute the clarity of choice, but let me reassure you that the likes of Ida, Tracks, Snowpiercer, Under the Skin, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, The Immigrant, Locke, The Wind Rises, Why Don’t You Play In Hell? all qualify for the year 2014.
The process is fairly straight forward. You choose what you consider to be the Finest Films of 2014 in the relevant box – as a list, paragraph with commas, links to your own lists etc. Then let us know if you’d like to write a blurb for a particular film for the publishing of the list, add your Twitter handle and website if you wish, and submit the list.
If you have any questions then email or tweet me any time.
